JOB OVERVIEW
A Coton Colors Design Associate is responsible for ALL things creative at Coton Colors, whether it’s designing the newest product line, creating a display fixture mock and analyzing it’s effectiveness, building an installation for our Flagship Stores’ window displays, styling a photoshoot, or creating the specifications of a product for production and following through with quality control and sample inventory. It is absolutely vital that the Design Associate is a forward thinker with great attention to detail, strong discernment, and takes initiative in all he/she does.
Job functions generally include but are not limited to:
• Participate as a member of the Design Team to design and develop products that are original, on brand, and in keeping with the company’s mission statement
• Assist in creating art or design concepts that are needed from various departments when directed
• Lead the various steps of the Product Development Department from the brainstorm/concept design stage, to the specification stage, and finally the quality control process and sample inventory and storage process
• Research, develop, and implement new merchandising initiatives to implement for all product collections on all brand outlets and initiate the update year after year
• Coordinate and execute the design of all temporary and permanent booth layouts
• Lead the efforts to upkeep the brand visual aesthetic of the Corporate Office and Design Center and Flagship Stores
• Coordinates, styles, and executes all photoshoots including shopping for unique props, setting scenes, and bringing the Coton Colors products to life through photography efforts

• Technology skills: experienced in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, Powerpoint), Communication applications (Skype, Go To Meeting, Basecamp), and Adobe Suites (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Lightroom)
Employee will participate in 30, 60 and 90-day employee reviews and once a year, thereafter. |
